ANR RECAP (2015-2019), coord. H. Dessales

, by Jean-Michel Colas

Initiated in January 2015, and nearing completion, the collaborative program RECAP (Post-earthquake Reconstruction Ancient experiments and innovations at Pompeii) aims to study the reconstruction of a city following an earthquake, through the particular case of Pompeii. The program associates four main partners, the AOROC laboratory (UMR 8546), the Inria (UMR 8538), the IPGP (UMR 7154) and the CJB (USR 3133) and four collaborators, the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Departments of Engineering, Geology and Agronomy), the Università degli Studi di Padova and the ISTerre (UMR 5275) and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. Beyond this case study, a wider reflection is proposed on the memory of risk in Campania, including the Vesuvian area and the Phlegrean Fields.

Several publications are in preparation.
